Home Builder/Green Builder Awards Nominees Revealed
|
|
- The finalist
letters for the 27th annual Home Builder Awards are in
the mail and the excitement is building in anticipation
of the April 27th celebration of the best of the best
builders, community developments, projects, product and
promotion, not to mention the inaugural green builder of
the year.
From a builder standpoint, more than 50 different
companies have at least one nomination. Great Gulf Homes
leads the way with an unheard of 16 nominations,
followed by Freed Developments with 14, TAS Design Build
with 12, Baywood Homes, Berkley Developments and Mattamy
Homes with 10 each and Intracorp with nine.
Finalists for the coveted home builder of the year award
are Arista Homes, Brookfield, Great Gulf Homes, Mattamy
Homes and Tribute Communities. We received more consumer
surveys (by far) than ever before, which is a great
testament to the credibility of the award as well as the
association.
Upon review of the submissions, a decision has been made
to split the inaugural green builder of the year award
into low-rise and high-rise. Low-rise finalists are The
Daniels Corporation, Mason Homes and Mattamy Homes.
High-rise finalists are Liberty Development Corporation,
TAS Design Build and Tridel.
From a project standpoint, TAS’ M5V project garnered a
whopping 12 nominations followed closely by Great Gulf’s
X – The Condominium with 11, The Bohemian Embassy by
Baywood Homes with 10, Rivertowne by Intracorp Brownstone
Lane by Berkley with eight each.
Among the more than 25 advertising agencies with at
least one nomination, LA Inc. is tops with 23, followed
very closely by Montana Steele with 22, Guidelines with
14, Partnership Marketing with 13 and 52 Pick-up with
11.
On the design side, RN Design has 12 nominations,
Architects Alliance, 10, Cassidy & Company, 9, and Hunt
Design with eight.
