Darryl Sittler to Guest Host Baywood Homes'
Charity Golf Tournament

Toronto, ON. May 18, 2004 - Baywood Homes announced today that this year’s Charity Golf Tournament will be Guest Hosted by Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, and former Maple Leaf Captain, Darryl Sittler.  The tournament will take place on Friday, August 13 at the Baywood Golf & Country Club and the Marlwood Golf & Country Club, both in the heart of Wasaga Beach.

“We’ve had a tremendous response and are anticipating a quick sell-out again this year,” says Golf Tournament Chair Lisa Rysyk.  “And we are absolutely thrilled to be working alongside Darryl Sittler - one of the greatest hockey players to ever wear the Toronto Maple Leaf uniform,” says Rysyk.  “We are hosting our ‘Baywood HOME-In-One Contest’ again this year, as well as other hole-in-ones for a BMW and a Jaguar, so it will definitely be another action-packed event.”

Baywood is featuring their 1,704 square foot bungalow as the Grand Hole-In-One prize at this year’s tournament.  ‘The Sycamore’ model, valued at $300,000 is located in the prestigious Ann Arbor Estates, one of Baywood’s communities in Wasaga Beach.  In addition, a BMW X3 valued at $58,063 and a Jaguar X-Type valued at $54,849 will be awarded to two other Hole-In-One Contest winners.

All proceeds will be donated to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital’s Community Education Program aimed at promoting wellness along with injury and disease prevention.  “Community support of our Education Endowment Program allows us to work with individuals to help prevent catastrophic illness or injury,” says Dr. Don Smith, family physician and member of the G&M Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. “Although we will always be here, ready and able to meet your healthcare needs, by educating our community, we can help keep you out of hospital.  This program represents the future of healthcare and is one of the best ways in which we can care for our community,” says Dr. Smith.

The cost per golfer at the Baywood Homes 2004 Charity Golf Tournament is $250 and includes golf, golf cart, premium golfer’s shoe bag, exclusive high-quality golf shirt, lunch, dinner, entertainment, and prizes.  It also includes entry to qualify for the Grand Hole-In-One Contest for a Baywood Home, entry into one of the Hole-In-One Contests for a BMW X3 or a Jaguar X-Type as well as entry into all other contests.  Sponsorship opportunities, ranging in price from $250 to $5,000, are also available.  Both sponsorship and tournament registration will be received on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participants can register by mail, fax, phone or online.  Registration forms are available at the Baywood Golf & Country Club, Marlwood Golf & Country Club or at Baywood Homes’ head office at 1140 Sheppard Avenue West in Toronto.  Registrants are also invited to visit www.baywoodhomes.com where they can choose to register online or print-off the downloadable form.  All golfers who register on or before Friday, June 4 will be entered into Baywood’s ‘Early Birdie’ draw for a free one-year membership to the Baywood Golf & Country Club.  The draw will be held on Monday, June 7 and the winner will be notified that day.
