The National Home Show is the premier home show in Canada, and the Toronto Star Dream Home has always proven to be the main attraction at the show. This year's home will be no exception. Baywood Homes has been given the extraordinary opportunity of being the official builder of the Dream Home at this spectacular event. The show will be held at Toronto's National Trade Centre at Exhibition Place from April 4th to 13th, 2003. We hope to see you there!

About the Dream Home

This personal oasis combines resort-style opulence with the comforts of your own private sanctuary. The light and airy design elements are interspersed with eclectic individuality. This custom-retreat promises stimulation and tranquility that will elevate your spirits, and fortify your passion and desire for living by bringing the outside elements inside. This cohesiveness of elements creates a diverse, unique and contemporary inside world at home.

This home cultivates an ongoing connection with its occupants, enhancing quality of life for all. The home is custom-designed to take care of you and your family by responding to your every need. The innovative design illustrates a passion for life and respect for all of the natural elements while demonstrating advanced technology, functionality and wellness. The natural balance between all elements promotes a sense of serenity.

The theme of the home revolves around four main elements: earth; fire; air; and water. These elements are effectively integrated into the overall design of the house. For example, you'll be able to see the sky through the dramatic domed glass ceiling in the foyer when you walk into the home. You will feel the warmth of fire from various sources around the house. The retractable glass walls off the breakfast and family rooms will immediately bring the outdoor elements of earth and air inside. And a dramatic use of water will be evident in the exquisite wellness centre. The central courtyard however, is the main focal point of the house. The outdoors can be visually accessed through the glass wall between the family room and the courtyard, bringing the outside elements into the living areas of the home.

This home emanates comfort, convenience, and luxury. The design was inspired by a deep-rooted desire to captivate those individuals who demand more fulfillment in their home life experiences. This concept addresses those needs by enhancing and sustaining an improved sense of being at an elevated level of luxurious living. This home connects with all senses physical and aesthetic and will especially appeal to those who cherish the outdoors, nature, leisure, and the upscale amenities of resort-style living. Much of this year's home has been created to mirror a peaceful outdoor aura, and essentially everything in the home is connected.
